Service of a cranked shaft and radical bearings

The micrometer and tsiferblatny measuring instrument of plunzherny type will be necessary for performance described below procedures.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Take the engine from the car, then remove from it a head of cylinders, the case pallet, a maslozabornik of the oil pump, a cover of a gas-distributing belt, gas-distributing and driving chains and a flywheel / a driving disk.
  2. Give fixing bolts and, having carefully hooked, remove the holder of a back epiploon of a cranked shaft from the block of cylinders and a shaft pin.
  3. Make sure available on rods and covers of their bottom heads of identification labels (in case of need put them independently).
  4. Give fixing nuts and remove covers of the bottom heads of rods, putting them as placement on the engine. Slightly raise rods, having removed their bottom heads from shaft necks, but without pushing out pistons from cylinders.
  5. Having entered edges measuring щупа between a cheek of a crank and the sixth radical bearing, check axial люфт a cranked shaft. Push a shaft against the stop in a first line of the central radical bearing, then for definition axial люфта take away a shaft against the stop forward.

Alternatively axial люфт a shaft it can be defined by means of a digital measuring instrument of the plunzherny type established opposite to an end face of a pin of a shaft (see an accompanying illustration).

  1. If axial люфт exceeds admissible value (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management), replace the central radical bearing assembled.
  2. By means of a measuring set of Plastigage check gaps in radical bearings of a cranked shaft:
    1. Uncover the first bearing and carefully wipe a neck of a shaft and the loose leaf of the bearing pure неворсящейся rags.
    2. Lay a piece of the calibrated plastic wire from a measuring set (on length equal to width of the bearing) along a shaft neck.
    3. Establish a cover of the bearing and tighten bolts of its fastening with demanded effort.

Do not rotate a shaft at laid on his neck of a measuring wire.

    1. Give bolts and carefully uncover with the bottom loose leaf of the bearing.
    2. On a scale put on packing of a set of Plastigage, measure width of the flattened-out calibrated wire, having determined by that gap size in the bearing.
    3. The widest site of the flattened-out wire corresponds to the minimum gap, and on the contrary.
    4. Similarly check gaps in the remained bearings.
  1. Carefully take a cranked shaft from an engine case, watching that did not drop out or did not appear the top loose leaves of radical bearings (if they are repeatedly used) are damaged.
  2. If it is supposed to replace loose leaves, take old of the beds in the block.
  3. Establish in the holder a new back epiploon of a cranked shaft.

Condition check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check radical and shatunny necks of a cranked shaft on existence of signs of wear, a konusnost and ovality. At excess by degree of wear of admissible sizes (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management) corresponding (radical or shatunny) necks should be pierced to closest of the standard repair sizes, having picked up the corresponding size (with belittling) loose leaves. Remember that even in case of wear or defect only to a pro-point all necks in a set (radical or shatunny respectively) are subject to one of necks.
  2. If wear degree such is that the pro-point of necks does not help to correct a situation, the cranked shaft should be replaced.
  3. Check persistent surfaces of the central radical bearing on existence of cavities and operation traces. In case of need replace loose leaves of the persistent bearing that should bring axial люфт a cranked shaft into accord with standard requirements (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management).
  4. Even in case gaps in radical bearings are recognized satisfactory, check their loose leaves on existence of scratches, задиров, an otslaivaniye, cavities and development traces. In case of need replace defective loose leaves in pairs on new, the corresponding size.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Track reliability of passableness of all маслотоков and do not forget to wipe carefully all necks (radical and shatunny) pure неворсящейся rags.
  2. Carefully wipe all new, or old loose leaves, then grease them with pure impellent oil. Track correctness of installation loose leaves in the corresponding beds of the block, covers or heads of rods.
  3. Lay a cranked shaft in the block of cylinders, sending shatunny necks to heads of the corresponding rods.
  4. Put on covers of bearings the corresponding rods and block bearings, tighten fixing bolts/nuts with demanded effort (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management).
  5. If replaced loose leaves of bearings, check gaps in them by means of a measuring set of Plastigage.
  6. Establish the holder of a back epiploon, gas-distributing and driving chains, a flywheel / a driving disk and the other removed components.
