The elementary checks and adjustments

Effort of a tension of a driving belt of the steering pump

Correctness of adjustment of a tension of a driving belt gives a guarantee of that the last will not slip thus that at the same time is not created excessive loads both of a belt, and of pump bearings.

Measurement of effort of a tension of a belt is made in the middle of its direct site between pulleys of a cranked shaft and the steering pump. Firmly press a belt in the specified point a thumb size of a deflection should correspond to standard requirements.

Air removal from hydraulic system (pumping)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Make sure that in the tank of system hydraulic liquid of a demanded grade (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management) is filled in. To Poddomkratta a car front also establish it on props. Without starting the engine, several times quickly turn a steering wheel from left to right from an emphasis against the stop. Do not hold a wheel in extreme provisions more than fifteen seconds. Check liquid level in the tank. In case of need make having added. If liquid in the tank of the steering pump is excessively saturated air (is aerated), or the raised noise background of the pump takes place, repeat performance of the procedures described in two previous paragraphs.

Removal and installation of hydraulic lines of connection of the pump of system of hydrostrengthening with the steering mechanism

Returnable hydraulic line

PERFORMANCE ORDER

The returnable line is executed in the form of the usual steel tube connected to hoses of a high pressure by means of collars. For replacement of a hose it is necessary to weaken fixing collars then to pull together a hose from a shtutserny part of a tube. At installation of new hoses it is necessary to grease their ends from within with transmission liquid (ATF). The returnable line is connected to the steering mechanism by means of the shtutserny socket on a hollow bolt. Before starting connection of components of the socket replace copper sealing washers.

Pressure head hydraulic line

PERFORMANCE ORDER

The pressure head line represents an integral piece of a tube with the hoses tense on it. In case of leaks all line should be replaced. Give a hollow bolt of the shtutserny socket on the steering pump and disconnect the line from the last. Give bolts of arms near a pulley of a cranked shaft and the steering mechanism. Liberate the line from arms. Give a hollow bolt of the shtutserny socket on the steering mechanism and disconnect the line from the last. Remove the line from the car.

Installation is made upside-down.
