Removal and installation of a steering wheel

For removal of the helmsman the special stripper is required.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. On models with the central arrangement of the button of a horn carefully hook the button sideways by means of the tool with a flat sting and remove it from a wheel (see an accompanying illustration).

3 — a nut
4 — electroconducting
    On models with screw fastening of the button of a horn by means of a short screw-driver give fixing screws under a steering wheel. Disconnect from the button electroconducting. Mark the provision of a steering wheel on a shaft, then give a fixing nut. By means of a special stripper remove a wheel from a steering shaft.

Do not knock on an end face of a steering shaft as it is fraught with column damage.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Grease with universal greasing a returnable cam of the switch of indexes of turns from the back party of a steering wheel. Achieve combination of the adjusting labels put in the course of dismantle and plant a steering wheel on a shaft. Check serviceability of operation of the returnable mechanism of the switch of indexes of turns and tighten a nut of fastening of a steering wheel with effort of 29 ÷ 39 Nanometers.
