Back bridge and suspension bracket

General information

Zadny Bridge is equipped with a banjo type case in which gipoidny assembly of the main transfer and the semi-unloaded semi-axes is located. All models with type bodies Hardtop (Hardtop) and the Versatile person (Station Wagon), except for Patrol Ti and Maverick XLT are completed with assembly of the main H233B broadcast. The main transfer can be standardly equipped both usual differential, and differential with limited sliding. The models Maverick XLT, Patrol Ti and some of ST are equipped with the main H233B broadcast with the being blocked differential. Models with bodies such as Utilitya (Van) and the Mini-truck (Cab Chassis) are equipped with the main H260 broadcast with differential of usual type / a limited proskalzyvaniye.

The transfer number of the main transfer of all models, except Patrol ST and Ti with RKPP, models with the engine of 3.0 l and Maverick XLT makes 4.111:1. The transfer number of models of 3.0 l makes 4.375:1, and the ST models, XL and Ti - 3.900:1.

Assembly of a conducted gear wheel of the main transfer with differential is established in two konusny roller bearings, and radial люфт and a pretightness are regulated by means of special nuts.

The leading gear wheel is established also in two konusny roller bearings which pretightness is defined by selection of the adjusting washer of the demanded thickness established between them. Depth of landing of a leading gear wheel is corrected by selection of the adjusting washer established between a gear wheel and a cone of the internal bearing.

The differential with limited sliding (LSD) continuously transfers rotation to both back wheels, however a torque is redistributed on a wheel with the minimum pro-slipping. When one of lateral gear wheels starts to rotate quicker opposite, the axis of satellites slightly turns, moving apart casings of planetary assembly that leads to increase in loading at frictional plates and disks.

The being blocked differential constantly (being blocked) transfers rotation to both back wheels evenly, regardless of extent of their pro-slipping and copes by means of the switch which directs depression via two electromagnetic valves to the executive chamber fixed in a back part of a case of the bridge.

At inclusion of blocking of differential depression moves in one of the chamber parties. Thus the fork of switching and the coupling of a choice are displaced towards differential assembly. The coupling of a choice slides on shlitsa to a casing of differential and, having entered into gearing with a back part of a lateral gear wheel, stops rotation of the last, thereby blocking differential. At blocking shutdown depression moves in an opposite half of the chamber, returning a fork with the coupling in starting positions.

Blocking of differential should join only when back wheels are motionless, and speed of movement of the car at the moment of inclusion does not exceed 7 km/h.

Procedures of removal and installation of assemblies of all main transfers are identical, however in case of failure of the being blocked differential originators of this Management recommend to drive away the car for repair performance in a workshop of dealer office of the company manufacturer of the car.

Semi-axes on models with drum-type brake mechanisms of back wheels are equipped with one konusny roller bearing (everyone), on models with disk brake mechanisms - two konusny roller bearings. The bearing (and) each semi-axis is concluded in a casing fixed at the end of a sleeve of a case of the bridge. The casing fastens on a semi-axis by means of a lock washer and a nut. Epiploons of semi-axes are located since the external ends of a case of the bridge.

The back suspension bracket can be executed both on springs, and on screw springs.

In the first case into structure of a suspension bracket enter the leading back bridge suspended on semi-elliptic sheet springs (springs). Springs are established on rubber plugs. The forward end of a spring fastens to a chassis frame by means of an anchor finger, back - a fixing earring.

Shock-absorbers are established on rubber plugs. Their bottom ends are fixed on basic plates of step-ladders of springs, top fasten to a chassis frame.

Zadny Bridge is exposed on springs by means of the central bolts of the last, and fastens to them U-shaped bolts of step-ladders with nuts. Components of a back suspension bracket are shown on an accompanying illustration.

On cars with a suspension bracket of spring type the leading back bridge is hung out by means of four longitudinal jet bars and a cross-section jet bar (see an accompanying illustration).

The long course of screw springs is supervised by hydraulic shock-absorbers of bilateral action. The stabilizer of cross-section stability is established between a case of the bridge and the car chassis for restriction of raskachivaniye of a body of the car during commission. On some models the remote hummock drive of shutdown of functioning of the stabilizer of cross-section stability for simplification of movement of the car in cross-country conditions is provided. The mechanism of shutdown provides a free wheeling of the right end of a bar of the stabilizer of cross-section stability.

The chassis of the car is equipped with the rubber limiter of a course of compression which serves for prevention of direct contact among themselves metal details at complete compression of screw springs.

Use of rubber plugs not needing service in axial points of components of a suspension bracket allows to lower level of noise published by a suspension bracket essentially. From time to time check a condition of plugs.
