Flywheel service

For performance described below procedures the tsiferblatny measuring instrument of plunzherny type and heat source (for example a blowtorch) be required.

For ensuring access to a flywheel it is necessary to remove the engine, or transmission from the car. The choice depends on existence of the elevating equipment.

Removal and installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the engine or transmission.
  2. Mark situation on a flywheel of a basket of coupling. Gradually weaken and turn out fixing bolts, remove a basket from directing pins of a flywheel and take coupling from the car (components of coupling are shown on an accompanying illustration).

  1. Block a flywheel from a provorachivaniye and turn out bolts of its fastening.
  2. Having marked the provision of a flywheel on a cranked shaft, carefully remove it.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Accurately achieve combination of all landing labels put in the course of dismantle and tighten all fixture with demanded effort (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management).
  2. Center a conducted disk of coupling on the directing plug of a cranked shaft by means of a spare primary shaft of transmission or the special tool. Gradually in a diagonal order tighten bolts of fastening of a basket.

Condition check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Measure size of palpation of the worker (contacting to a coupling disk) flywheel surfaces. If the result of measurement exceeds 0.1 mm both on put on a cranked shaft, and on the flywheel removed from it, it is necessary to replace the last.
  2. Check a working surface of a flywheel on existence of cracks, задиров and deep scratches.
  3. Examine a wreath teeth on existence of chips, cracks and other damages. The gear wreath is subject to replacement separately from a flywheel.

Replacement of a gear wreath

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove a flywheel from the car and drill an opening of ø 3 mm between two teeth of a wreath.

The opening should not be through in order to avoid damage of a flange of a flywheel.

  1. Place a chisel over the drilled opening and sharp blows of a hammer split a wreath.
  2. Remove a wreath from a flywheel, then remove from a landing surface the agnails left at removal and teases.
  3. Zapoliruyte an emery paper some sites on повит a new gear wreath also start to heat up the last until the polished sites will not get a dark blue shade.
  4. Quickly put on a wreath a flywheel facets of a teeth up and from a flywheel flange. Make sure of reliability of landing of a wreath and density of its pressing to a flange.
