Diagnostics of malfunctions of systems of heating and air conditioning

In salon of the car hot air does not arrive

The thermostat is faulty. Replace.

The drive of management of a heater is faulty. Check, make necessary repair.

Passableness of a heating hose is broken. Eliminate the blocking reason, or replace a hose.

Passableness of the heat exchanger of a heater is broken. Clean or replace the heat exchanger.

Make sure that the engine is heated-up to normal working temperature. In case of absence of confidence, check serviceability of functioning of the thermostat.
After warming up of the engine both heating a hose should warm/hot to the touch (see an accompanying illustration). At violation of passableness of the heat exchanger one hose will be much colder than the second.

In salon of the car the cooled air does not arrive

The driving belt of the compressor of the conditioner of air slips or is torn off. Replace a belt and/or adjust its tension (see the corresponding subsection in Head of Control and routine maintenance).

Coolant level fell. Check system on leaks (see an accompanying illustration), in case of need add.

The conditioner compressor does not function properly. At the included ignition include central air and make sure of introduction in gearing of the coupling of coupling of the compressor, distinct click should be distributed. Otherwise, before starting compressor removal for repair performance in a specialized workshop, check serviceability of giving of power supply on it.

There is a mixing of warm air from heating system to the cooled. Check serviceability of system of heating. Adjust management cables. Replace defective components.

The diagnostic procedures listed above are only base checks. If there are firm suspicions on violation of functioning of central air of air, it is recommended to drive away the car in a specialized workshop for carrying out a complex of professional checks and performance of necessary repair.
It is not necessary to be frightened at detection of traces of water under the car at its parking hot weather. Usually it only the condensate which is forming in the course of functioning of central air.
