Removal and transmission installation

For performance described below procedures the special throne jack is required.


Attempt of removal of transmission without use of a special jack can lead to receiving traumas and damage of components!

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Tire out the car back wheels on a platform. Cock the parking brake and block back wheels wedges.
  2. To Poddomkratta a car front also establish it on props.
  3. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  4. Remove the central console.
  5. Release a clip, compress lock uvulas, remove a finger and disconnect a driving cable from a control lever of the parking brake.
  6. Weaken a lock-nut of a cover of a cable and liberate a cable from an arm.
  7. Drag a cable through the floor panel, having pulled out it together with the plug through passage from car salon.
  8. Merge oil from transmission.
  9. Mark position of forward and back driveshafts from each other, and also situation them concerning a flange of a leading gear wheel of the main transfer, a flange of a transfer case and a drum of the parking brake.
  10. Give bolts and nuts and remove driveshafts from the car.
  11. Unbend back a rubber protective cover, unscrew a nut of fastening of a rod of switching to a control lever of a transfer case, remove a washer and the remote plug. Disconnect a switching rod from a control lever.
  12. Give bolts of fastening of an arm and remove the lever of switching of a transfer case from a transmission case.
  13. Disconnect ventilating hoses and electroconducting from cases of a transfer case and transmission.
  14. Get a telezhechny jack under a transfer case and fix on it assembly by means of a sling or a chain.
  15. Give bolts of fastening of a transfer case to transmission and remove a box from the car.

The weight of a transfer case makes about 50 kg, and therefore originators of this Management urgently recommend use for its removal of a telezhechny jack.

  1. Take measuring щуп. Give a fixing bolt and remove directing tube щупа with a sealing ring from transmission.
  2. Give a bolt with a nut and remove rubber insulators from an arm подвеса systems of production of the fulfilled gases.
  3. Disconnect electroconducting from a starter, give fixing bolts and remove a starter from the car.
  4. Give fixing bolts and remove a back guard of the engine.
  5. Mark landing position of the converter of rotation on a driving disk, then gradually give bolts of fastening of the converter.
  6. Give a lock-nut of draft of the selector and disconnect draft from a selector rod.
  7. Give hollow bolts of connection of tubes of a maslookhladitel, disconnect blow from transmission, remove sealing washers. To Zakuporta open ends of tubes. Give bolts of clamps of tubes of a maslookhladitel.
  8. Give bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine.
  9. Get a special jack under transmission and fix on it transmission by a chain.
  10. Prop up transmission by a jack. Give bolts and nuts of fastening of a cross-section beam to a frame of the chassis and transmission support. Remove a cross-section beam from the car.
  11. Carefully lower a jack, watching that there were no tense hoses connected to the engine and wires. Remove transmission assembled with the rotation converter. Appearance (on the right) is shown to the automatic transmission removed from the car on an accompanying illustration.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Track correctness of installation of the converter of rotation in a forward part of transmission.
  2. Check purity of interfaced surfaces of a back guard of the engine and the rotation converter, grease a converter flange with Loctite 587 hermetic (or equivalent to it).
  3. Lift a jack and level transmission in relation to the engine. Track, that interfaced surfaces of the converter of rotation and a back guard of the engine appeared are parallel each other.
  4. Tighten all fixture with demanded effort, restore initial connections of electroconducting and ventilating hoses.
  5. Impose a hermetic pillow on perimeter of an interfaced surface of a flange of a starter. Establish a starter on the engine.
  6. Establish into place driveshafts. Track combination of landing labels.
  7. Connect and adjust a driving cable of the parking brake.
  8. Fill in in transmission necessary amount of oil of a demanded grade (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management).
