Removal and installation of longitudinal levers of a suspension bracket

For performance described below procedures the press, suitable opravka and pipes be required.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To Poddomkratta a car front from the relevant party also establish it on the props got under a frame of the chassis and assembly of the forward bridge.
  2. Remove the corresponding forward wheel.
  3. At the corresponding complete set give bolts of the stabilizer of cross-section stability and remove an arm from the longitudinal lever subject to replacement.
  4. Give a nut since the back end of the longitudinal lever, remove a washer and the plug (see an accompanying illustration). Disconnect the sharovy hinge of connecting draft of a steering drive from a rotary fist from the relevant party of the car.

  1. Give nuts of bolts of fastening of the longitudinal lever to a basic arm of the bridge.
  2. Get a jack under the forward bridge, then cock it, having unloaded bolts of fastening of the longitudinal lever.
  3. Take bolts, having beaten out them by means of a brass drift (support a bar in the course of knocking-out of bolts)
  4. Lower a bar, taking away it from the bridge and remove the back end of a bar from a basic arm on the chassis.
  5. Examine the longitudinal lever on existence of cracks and deformation signs, in case of need make replacement.
  6. Check a condition of plugs in the longitudinal lever. Defective plugs replace (see an accompanying illustration):
1 — a pipe
2 — an opravka
3 — the longitudinal lever
    1. Prop up a bar under the plug subject to replacement with a piece of a pipe of suitable diameter (the plug should pass freely through a pipe).
    2. By means of the tool which opravka will rest against an internal steel tube of the plug, squeeze out the plug of a bar.
    3. Moisten an external surface of the new plug with soap water and start to push gradually the plug on the seat by means of a piece of a pipe which will rest against an external steel tube of the plug.
    4. Make sure of perpendicularity of landing of the plug and centrality of its arrangement.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If replacement of plugs is made, attentively check a condition of axial bolts of a bar. Worn-out components replace.
  2. Establish the longitudinal lever on the car, establish fixture (nuts, washers and rubber plugs), but do not tighten it finally at this stage. Lower the car on the earth.
  3. Several times rock the car for a usadka of components of a suspension bracket, then tighten a chassis nut with effort of 93 ÷ 123 Nanometers. Gayki Bridge tighten with effort of 157 ÷ 216 Nanometers.
  4. Establish into place the stabilizer of cross-section stability.
