Removal and installation

For greasing of all it is necessary to use universal greasing on a lithium basis if the opposite is not stipulated especially in the procedure description. |
Removal
|
To Poddomkratta a car back also establish it on props. Remove a back wheel.
On models with drum-type brake mechanisms of back wheels remove drum-type assembly from a semi-axis and disconnect a brake tube from a back part of the wheel cylinder. To Zakuporta a tube and the cylinder union in order to avoid hit in hydraulic system of dirt.
On models with disk back brake mechanisms (see an accompanying illustration) give fixing bolts, remove a support from the chassis and tie up a wire it aside to a suspension bracket element.
Remove from a semi-axis flange a brake disk, from a basic arm of a support - the dustproof screen.
Give nuts of fastening of a casing of the bearing of a semi-axis to a case of the back bridge and by means of a hammer with sliding brisk take semi-axis assembly.

If the hammer with sliding brisk available is not available, return a brake drum/disk on the place on a semi-axis and freely screw wheel nuts, then use a drum/disk as a hammer sliding quickly (do not knock thus on it a usual hammer). |
On models with drum-type brake mechanisms of back wheels remove adjusting washers and a boot from a bearing casing. Will throw out a boot.

On models with disk back brakes (see an accompanying illustration) remove from a semi-axis flange a sealing ring and will throw out it.
|
By means of the lever take an internal epiploon of a semi-axis from a bridge case.
|
|
Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
|
Grease sponges of a new epiploon and establish an epiploon in a bridge case.
On models with disk back brake mechanisms execute the following procedures:
Grease a new sealing ring and establish it in a bridge case.
Establish a semi-axis, - try not to damage thus an internal epiploon. Tighten fixing nuts with effort of 53 ÷ 63 Nanometers.
Establish a brake disk and a support and tighten fixing bolts with effort of 38 ÷ 52 Nanometers.
On models with drum-type mechanisms:
Establish a brake board on a case of the bridge and strongly fix a brake tube.
Establish on a bearing casing a new boot, then insert one semi-axis, trying not to damage thus an internal epiploon. Do not establish adjusting washers at this stage.
Screw nuts of fastening of a semi-axis and tighten them with effort of 53 ÷ 63 Nanometers.
Establish on a casing of the bearing of an opposite semi-axis a new boot and a set of adjusting washers in total thickness of 1.6 mm. insert a semi-axis, trying not to damage an internal epiploon.

Track, that adjusting washers did not appear are established between a boot and a bearing casing. |
Strongly tighten nuts of fastening of a semi-axis against the stop a bearing casing in a brake board. Otherwise the semi-axis will appear jammed.
|
If the semi-axis starts to get jammed, do not tighten a nut further as it is fraught with damage of a casing of the bearing. |
Fix a tsiferblatny measuring instrument on a brake board, plunzhery to an end face of a flange of a semi-axis and measure axial люфт by the last. Pick up adjusting washers of the demanded thickness and establish them, achieving size axial люфта at 0.02 ÷ 0.15 mm. Washers should not be established between a boot and a bearing casing.

The size axial люфта increases with addition of adjusting washers, and on the contrary. The difference in thickness of sets of adjusting washers of the left and right semi-axes should not exceed one millimeter. In case of need remove washers from one set and add them in another. |
Tighten nuts of fastening of a semi-axis with effort of 53 ÷ 63 Nanometers and repeat procedure of point (f). Establish a brake drum and pump over hydraulic system.

Bearing replacement
|
Remove a semi-axis.
Clamp a semi-axis in a vice and unbend uvulas of a lock washer of a nut of fastening of the bearing.
By means of a wrench on 58.2 mm give a nut of fastening of the bearing and will throw out a lock washer.
Establish a semi-axis in a press, having propped up basic plates a bearing casing (on models with drum-type back brake mechanisms), or a basic arm of a support (on models with disk brakes of back wheels. Squeeze out a semi-axis of a bearing casing.
On models with drum-type brake mechanisms of back wheels (see an accompanying illustration) take from a bearing casing an epiploon and will throw out it. Also remove from a semi-axis a remote ring.
On models with disk back brakes remove from a semi-axis an internal holder of the external bearing of a semi-axis, an epiploon and a remote ring. Will throw out an epiploon.
By means of a brass drift take from the bearing case an external holder of the bearing.
Examine a semi-axis on existence of cracks, signs of wear and deformations. It is necessary to give special attention to a condition шлицов.
Check also on existence of signs of wear, cracks and other damages a bearing casing.

Installation of the bearing is made upside-down.
By means of a brass drift plant an external holder of the bearing in a casing against the stop in a coat hanger. Fill the bearing (and) and space between sponges of an epiploon high-temperature universal greasing on a lithium basis. When greasing bearing (ов) carefully fill greasing in gaps between rollers, an internal holder and a separator. On models with disk back brake mechanisms:
Establish in a casing an internal holder of the external bearing, then by means of a suitable opravka fill in a casing an epiploon against the stop in a coat hanger.
Dress on a semi-axis a remote ring and a support arm, then press a semi-axis in bearings, having rested an external holder against an opravka and watching to damaging an epiploon.
Fill space between an epiploon and a remote ring high-temperature universal greasing on a lithium basis.
On models with drum-type back brake mechanisms dress on a semi-axis a remote ring and a bearing casing, then by means of a brass drift or a piece of a tube plant on a semi-axis an internal holder.
Establish a lock washer, grease a contact surface of a fixing nut and tighten a nut with effort of 441 ÷ 490 Nanometers. Bend one of uvulas of a lock washer.
Holding a semi-axis, turn assembly of a casing of the bearing three times, checking freedom of its rotation.
Establish a semi-axis in a bridge case.
