Removal
Location of the main cylinder of coupling on models of 4.2 l
|
|
Cover with protective covers the right forward mudguard.
Disconnect a hydraulic tube from the main cylinder. To Zakuporta the end of a tube and an opening in the cylinder in order to avoid hit in hydraulic system of dirt and for the purpose of minimization of losses of liquid.
On models of 3.0 l disconnect from a coupling pedal a pusher of the main cylinder.
Give fixing nuts and remove the main cylinder from the car. Try not to allow hits of hydraulic liquid on the painted surfaces of a body.

At hit of hydraulic liquid on a paint and varnish covering immediately wash away it a plentiful quantity of water, then allow a surface to dry a natural way, - do not wipe it rags. |

|
Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
|
|
Fixing nuts tighten with demanded effort.
Pump over hydraulic system.
|
|
Dismantling
|
|
After removal of the main cylinder remove hydraulic liquid from its tank.
Weaken a collar and separate the tank from the main cylinder.
Separate a rubber cover from the end of the main cylinder.
Remove from the cylinder end a lock ring, then (according to a complete set) remove a pusher, a washer and a rubber cover.
Take from the cylinder piston assembly with a spring (see an accompanying illustration - components of the main cylinder of models of 4.2 l are shown).

Cleaning and condition check
|
|
Wash out all components of the main cylinder methyl alcohol.
|
|
At all do not apply to this purpose gasoline or mineral alcohols. |
Check a cylinder mirror on existence of signs of wear and corrosion traces, in case of need make replacement.
|
|
Honingovaniye of the main cylinder of coupling it is inadmissible. At identification of major defects of a mirror it is necessary to replace the cylinder assembled. |
Check piston assembly on existence of signs of wear, scratches, задиров and corrosion traces. Special attention give to a condition of cuffs of the piston. In case of need make replacement.
At the corresponding complete set check on existence of signs of wear and damages a pusher and a washer. Replace defective components.
Check the tank of hydraulic liquid on existence of cracks and other damages. In case of need make replacement.
Check serviceability of a condition of a collar of fastening of the tank. In case of need replace.

Assembly
|
|
There where possibly, surely use the special remnabor including in the structure new cuffs and the piston. Use of such firm sets will allow to prolong block service life substantially. |
|
|
Grease with special greasing (for rubber components) a piston cuff, a mirror of the cylinder and, at the corresponding complete set, a rubber cover.
Establish piston assembly with a spring in the cylinder. On models of 4.2 l establish a washer and a new lock ring.
On models of 3.0 l check existence on a pusher of a rubber cover, then establish and fix a new lock ring a pusher with a washer. Pull a protective cover on the cylinder case.
Establish on the main cylinder the tank and reliably fix it a collar.
Fill in in the tank fresh hydraulic liquid, then shake the piston manually before emergence of liquid in an opening under installation of a hydraulic tube on the cylinder case.
Establish the main cylinder on the car.
