Service of electric components of a control system by the engine

Distributor

Check of the sensor of an angle of rotation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the distributor from the engine.
  2. Disconnect a negative wire to the battery and electroconducting to the distributor.
  1. By means of the voltmeter probe the plug D of the electric socket of a plait of wires (see an insert on an accompanying illustration).
  1. Turn the ignition key in the situation ON and, slowly rotating a hand a distributor shaft, check tension - it should fluctuate between values of 5 and 0 Century.
  2. Repeat check for the plug C.
  3. If tension does not correspond to the stipulated requirements, execute the following procedures:
    1. Uncover the distributor and give a ranichitel of turns. Remove from the distributor a plate of the screen and a begunok.
    2. Check an alarm plate of the sensor of an angle of rotation on existence of traces of a dust and damages. In case of need carefully wipe a plate and surrounding components. If the alarm plate is damaged, follows will replace the distributor (separately to get a new plate it is impossible).
    3. If the distributor as it should be, it is necessary to check electroconducting of its food and grounding. If it is not possible to reveal any obvious defects, the car should be driven away in dealer office of the manufacturing company for carrying out detailed diagnostics.

Removal and installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disunite the electric socket of the distributor and disconnect from the distributor a grounding wire.
  2. Disconnect VV a wire of the coil of ignition from a distributor cover, give fixing screws and postpone a cover with the candle wires connected to it aside. Turn the engine clockwise so that the label on a pulley of a cranked shaft was combined with a zero mark in a cover of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism, and the begunok of the distributor was developed towards an arrangement of the VV plug of a wire of the first cylinder in a distributor cover.
  3. Mark position of the case of the distributor in relation to a head of cylinders for the purpose of simplification of procedure of initial installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition at assembly.
  4. Give a fixing bolt and take the distributor from a head of cylinders.

Do not allow an engine provorachivaniye at removed the distributor.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Make sure that the label of a pulley of a cranked shaft on the former is combined with a zero mark in a forward cover.

If the cranked shaft was turned at the removed distributor, remove a spark plug of the first cylinder, stop up a candle opening with a finger and ask the assistant to rotate a cranked shaft manually clockwise. When there will be an appreciable feeling of pressure, turn a shaft a little more before combination of labels on a pulley and a cover.

  1. Achieve label combination on a driving gear wheel of the distributor with a reciprocal label in the form of small risks on the distributor case (see an accompanying illustration) and insert the distributor into a head of cylinders, also having combined landing labels.
  1. Screw and strongly tighten a fixing bolt.
  2. Establish a cover of the distributor and tighten fixing bolts.
  3. Connect electroconducting to the distributor and a negative wire to the battery.
  4. Check correctness of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition.

Removal and installation of a measuring instrument of an air stream

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from a measuring instrument of an air stream.
  2. Release a collar and disconnect from a measuring instrument of an air stream an air line sleeve.
  3. Release clips of fastening of the top half of the case of an air purifier to bottom and remove assembly from the car.
  4. Give fixing bolts and separate a measuring instrument of an air stream from the top half of the case of an air purifier. Remove a plate of the holder from the interior of the top half of the case of an air purifier.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Track correctness of installation of a sealing ring in deepening in a measuring instrument of an air stream.
  2. Track correctness of placement of a filtering element in the top half of the case of an air purifier.
  3. Start the engine and check its existence of leakages of air.

The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid (CTS)

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove CTS.
  2. Connect an ohmmeter to CTS plugs.
  3. Lower the thermometer and the metal end of the sensor in capacity with cold cooling liquid. Track, that the sensor and the thermometer did not adjoin to vessel walls (see an accompanying illustration).

  1. Start to heat up gradually cooling liquid, tracing dependence of resistance of the sensor on temperature. Compare the received results to standard data:

  1. If the given dependence is not carried out, CTS should be replaced.

Removal and installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from CTS.
  2. Merge cooling liquid from cooling system, having lowered its level is lower than level of an arrangement of CTS.
  1. Remove the sensor from the inlet pipeline.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Installation is made upside-down.
  2. The sensor should be tightened reliably, but not too hardly.
  3. Fill cooling system.

Ignition coil

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect from the VV coil and simple wires.
  1. By means of an ohmmeter check resistance between coil plugs (see inserts on an accompanying illustration, - on an illustration the arrangement of the coil of ignition, a powerful key of the target cascade and the resistor/condenser is also shown). Demanded values are given in the table:

  1. If the Result of measurements does not correspond to standard data, the coil should be replaced.

Removal and installation

Removal

  1. Disunite electric sockets on the coil of ignition and a powerful key of the target cascade.
  2. Disconnect VV a wire from the ignition coil, disconnect a grounding wire from an arm.
  3. Give bolts of fastening of an arm and remove assembly from the car.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

Powerful key of the target cascade

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from a powerful key.
  2. Check conductivity existence between key plugs. Compare results of measurements to the requirements provided in the table:

Removal and installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the ignition coil.
  2. Give fixing screws and remove a powerful key of the target cascade from an arm.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

Resistor/condenser check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Small screw-driver carefully hook the resistor/condenser and take it from a plait of wires in the neighbourhood with the ignition coil.
  2. By means of an ohmmeter check resistance between plugs close with adjusting ears. Resistance should equal 2 200 Ohm, otherwise the resistor/condenser is subject to replacement.

Electromagnetic valves of management

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from the corresponding electromagnetic valve (location of the electromagnetic valve of a regulator of pressure of fuel of models of release till October, 1994 is shown on an accompanying illustration A, the valve of a purge of a coal adsorber - on an illustration B).

  1. For valve check:
    1. Submit on it tension to 12 V.Vozdukh between unions B and A should pass, between unions C and A - is not present (see an accompanying illustration).
    2. Disconnect a food. The picture should change on the opposite.

Removal and installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect from the corresponding valve electroconducting and vacuum hoses.
  2. At removal of the valve of a purge of a coal adsorber give a bolt of fastening of an arm of the valve to a cover of a head of cylinders and lift an arm so that access to a fixing nut of the valve opened.
  3. Give a fixing nut under an arm and remove the valve from the last.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. Track, that the valve ear correctly entered into an arm.

Sensor of provision of a butterfly valve (TPS)

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disunite the electric TPS socket.
  1. Connect an ohmmeter to plugs B and C of the electric socket of the sensor (see an accompanying illustration).
  1. At the closed butterfly valve resistance should make about 1 000 Ohm.
  2. At partially open zaslonka resistance should lie within 1 000 ÷ 9 000 Ohm.
  3. At completely open throttle resistance should make about 9 000 Ohm.
  4. Disconnect the tip of electroconducting of the sensor switch of idling from the TPS case.
  5. According to data of an illustration connect an ohmmeter to plugs A and B of the sensor switch of idling.
  6. At the closed butterfly valve between plugs conductivity should take place.
  7. At partially open zaslonka of conductivity should not be.
  8. If results of the made measurements do not meet standard requirements, check TPS adjustment and if to achieve satisfactory results it is not possible, replace the sensor.

Removal and installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting of the sensor switch of idling from the TPS case, disunite the electric TPS socket.
  2. Give fixing screws and remove TPS from the throttle case.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Installation is made upside-down.
  2. Track, that лыска on a butterfly valve axis correctly it was combined with TPS.
  3. In case of need execute TPS adjustment.

Adjustment

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from the valve of additional air (AAS).
  2. Disconnect the tip of electroconducting of the sensor switch of idling from the TPS case.
  3. Start the engine and warm up it to normal working temperature.
  4. According to data of an illustration 4.44 connect an ohmmeter between plugs A and B of the sensor switch of idling.
  5. Weaken fixing screws and adjust TPS so that conductivity took place at frequency of rotation of the engine 900 ± 150 of rpm and was absent at turns over 1 050 in a minute.

If it is not possible to achieve demanded result, replace TPS.

  1. Tighten fixing screws and check correctness of adjustment.
  2. Muffle the engine, disconnect an ohmmeter and connect electroconducting to TPS and the AAS valve.

Valve of additional air (AAS)

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from the AAS valve (see an accompanying illustration).
  1. Measure resistance between valve plugs, - it should make about 10 Ohm, otherwise the valve should be replaced.

Removal and installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect from the AAS valve electroconducting and perepuskny an air hose.
  2. Give fixing bolts and remove valve assembly from the block of adjustment of air of idling (IAA).
  3. Give fixing bolts and remove from the AAS valve case an electromagnet winding.
  4. Check passableness of channels. Make sure that plunzher freely slide in a casing, and springs are not broken and otherwise are not damaged. In case of need remove coal deposits from channels by means of soft rags and a cleaner for carburetors.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. At installation of the AAS valve use new laying.

Device of compensation of turns of fast idling (FICD)

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from the FICD device.
  2. Submit on plugs of an electromagnet of FICD tension to 12 V.Pri giving of tension click should be distributed distinctly, otherwise replace FICD

Removal and installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from the FICD valve.
  2. Removal of FICD from the IAA valve.
  3. Take from the valve a plunzher and a spring. Track, that the plunzher freely slid in the valve, and the spring was not broken or otherwise damaged. In case of need remove coal deposits from channels by means of soft rags and a cleaner for carburetors.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check a condition of a sealing washer, in case of need make replacement.
  2. Track correctness of installation of a spring on a plunzher.

Removal and installation of the block of adjustment of air of idling (IAA)

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the AAS valve.
  2. By means of a suitable prutkovy key give fixing bolts and remove the IAA block with laying from the delivery chamber of an air path.
  3. In case of need turn out FICD from the block.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. At installation of the AAS valve and the IAA block use new laying.

Air regulator

The valve of adjustment of air is located under the inlet pipeline, near measuring щупа.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from an air regulator.
  2. Check resistance between regulator plugs. It should make about 70 ÷ 80 Ohm, otherwise replace a regulator.

Removal and installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from an air regulator.
  2. Weaken collars and disconnect from a regulator hoses.
  3. Give fixing bolts and remove a regulator from the inlet pipeline.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

Sensor switch of pressure of oil of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from the sensor switch on the steering pump.
  2. Connect an ohmmeter to plugs of the sensor switch and start the engine.
  3. At the engine working at single turns and the rectilinear provision of forward wheels of the car the sensor switch should be opened (conductivity is absent).
  4. At the engine working at single turns and turned in any of the parties the sensor should be closed by forward wheels (conductivity) takes place.
  5. If conditions of check are not carried out, it is necessary to replace the sensor switch of pressure of oil of the power steering.

Removal and installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect electroconducting from the sensor switch.
  2. Remove the sensor switch from the steering pump.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. Track, that liquid level in the tank of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel corresponded to norm.

Relay

Described below procedure treat the relay of a control system of the engine (ECCS), the fuel pump and the Parking/neutral (the sensor switch of permission of start), located near the battery (see an accompanying illustration).

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Take the relay from a casing in an impellent compartment.
  2. Submit on plugs A and B tension 12 In and check conductivity existence between plugs C and D (see an illustration). on models with the 6-terminal relay of the fuel pump check conductivity between plugs E and F (it should take place).
  3. Conductivity should be absent between plugs C and D, or Е and F when tension on plugs A and B does not move.
  4. If this check does not yield demanded results, replace the relay.
